Who this ad targets

This ad targets North American and Northern European travelers planning a warm-weather escape during the cold months, especially couples and solo travelers aged 25–55 heading to Mexico, the Caribbean or Southern Europe. They are price-aware but value convenience, already own an eSIM-compatible smartphone, and are in the planning or booking phase of a trip. The discount code and 'affordable' messaging also speak to people who have been burned by roaming fees before and want a cheaper alternative.

Copywriting analysis

The headline 'Get more for your winter escape' is short, benefit-led and deliberately broad: 'more' can mean more data, more savings or more sunshine. The sub-line does the heavy lifting by naming the product (affordable data), the use case (your trip down south) and the offer (20% off) in one sentence. Bolding '20% off' and boxing the code ESCAPE20 creates a clear visual hierarchy. The code itself is memorable because it repeats the campaign idea. There is no explicit CTA on the image, which keeps it clean and leaves the action to the platform button.

Visual design

The composition relies on a vertical seam down the middle that joins two photos into one continuous body, a technique that rewards a second look. A shared pale-blue sky gives the headline a calm, uncluttered background. Navy type provides strong contrast, while the cyan code pill matches the Nomad brand accent. Warm wood and cream furniture on the right balance the cool beach tones on the left. The logo sits on the seam, anchoring the eye where both worlds meet.

How to adapt this template for your brand

1. Pick two contrasting scenes your audience will recognise: where they are now and where they want to be.
2. Shoot or composite one person or object that continues across both halves so the split feels seamless.
3. Write a short, seasonal headline that hints at the benefit without explaining everything.
4. Highlight a memorable promo code in a high-contrast pill in your brand accent color.
5. Place your logo on the seam and keep the bottom third free of clutter for platform UI.

Tips for travel esims ads on Meta

On Meta Stories and Reels, keep the headline and code within the top two thirds, because the bottom is covered by the CTA and caption. Pair it with a 'Shop now' button and test the code in the primary text as well. For Feed, crop to 4:5 and keep the seam centred. Launch from October to February and target users interested in winter-sun destinations or with recent searches for flights south. A/B test the split visual against a pure beach image.
