What is a product shot ad?
A product shot ad puts the product itself at the centre of the frame, usually on a clean or styled background with little text. It works best when the packaging or product is distinctive enough to stop the scroll and the viewer already understands what it does.

Who this ad targets
This ad targets owners, founders and marketing leads at home bakers and cookie brands and other small to mid-sized brands that sell cookies and want packaging that reflects their identity. They are design-conscious, active on Instagram, and care about sustainability and customer experience. Many are growing past generic stock packaging but still need low minimum order quantities. Seeing a peer brand like Sally Bakes shows them what is possible for their own business.
Copywriting analysis
The on-image copy is just three words, PACKAGING FOR BRANDS, set in uppercase on two lines. It is a category statement rather than a clever line, which works because the photo already creates desire and the text only needs to name the offer. "For brands" signals a B2B audience and quietly flatters the viewer as a brand owner. The absence of prices, discounts or claims keeps the ad premium and editorial, matching the aesthetic of Noissue's customers. The heavy lifting moves to the primary text, which adds the benefits: custom design, sustainable materials, low minimums and suitability for brands of all sizes. The CTA keeps friction low for a considered purchase.
Visual design
The layout is a full-bleed Portrait 4:5 photo in an editorial style, with natural light and a slightly warm, film-like grade. The blue packaging is the focal point and is framed in the centre. White thin sans-serif headline text sits in the top third, and the bold white Noissue wordmark sits at the bottom centre, leaving the middle clear for the product. No borders, badges or buttons are used, so the ad blends into the feed like organic content.
How to adapt this template for your brand
- Collect strong, authentic photos of customers using your product in their own space.
- Pick images where the product is clearly visible and has a bold brand colour.
- Add a short 2–4 word category headline in a thin white font in the top third.
- Place your logo bottom centre and keep the middle of the frame clear.
- Run 5–15 variations as a series and scale the industries that get the best CTR.
Tips for packaging ads on Meta
On Meta, run this in Portrait 4:5 for Feed and Explore and keep text clear of the top and bottom 14% safe zones. Use an Advantage+ or interest audience built around small business owners, e-commerce, Shopify and the relevant industry. Load several customer photos into one ad set or a carousel so the algorithm finds the best performer, and add the customer brand name in primary text for social proof. Retarget website visitors with offer-led creatives such as free samples or low minimums.
About this creative
The creative shows an open blue-and-white cookie box lined with blue gingham paper, holding six chunky chocolate chip cookies in hard sunlight. The packaging is a white-and-blue printed box with a blue gingham liner, made by Noissue for Sally Bakes. A short, white two-line headline, PACKAGING FOR BRANDS, sits in the top third in a clean, thin sans-serif, and the white Noissue wordmark anchors the bottom centre. There is no price, offer or feature list: the photo does the selling. Instead of a studio render, the ad uses an authentic moment from a real customer, so the packaging looks used, loved and in context. The blue tones of the packaging dominate the frame and make it stop the scroll in a busy feed. The ad is part of a wider series where the same overlay is repeated across many customer photos, which builds recognition while showing the range of products Noissue can print, from boxes and mailers to tissue, cups and food paper. It speaks to owners of home bakers and cookie brands who want packaging that looks this good.
