What is a feature callout ad?
A feature callout ad is a static image that shows a single product with short text labels pointing to its key features or benefits, usually joined to the product by thin lines. It explains several selling points at a glance without a long caption, which is why it's common for supplements, skincare, electronics and kitchenware.

The cutaway tin shows the ingredients behind the numbers.
- 03
Scale metaphor
Ruler tick marks frame the stats as measured and precise.
- 04

Who this ad targets
This ad targets label readers: health-conscious adults aged 25–45 who check sugar and caffeine content, follow fitness or biohacking accounts and compare products on specs. It also speaks to people cutting sugar or reducing caffeine for better sleep and fewer crashes. The data-forward approach works especially well for sceptical audiences who don't respond to lifestyle imagery or vague wellness claims.
Copywriting analysis
The headline is built from three short, rhythmic sentences: two facts and a payoff. '0G SUGAR' answers a common objection about flavoured drinks, '2,240MG MUSHROOMS' signals potency, and 'ACTUAL FUEL' is the emotional close that implies competitors are empty energy. The stats repeat the facts in a different format, adding caffeine (35mg) for comparison with coffee. Every word is functional; there's no fluff, which suits the analytical tone. The caps headline is loud enough to read from a thumbnail.
Visual design
An off-white background keeps the image clean and lets the black tin and type pop. The tilted tin adds energy and dynamism to an otherwise static layout. The cutaway effect is the hero: the stacked ingredients give rich colour and texture in browns, oranges and creams. The ruler tick marks along the right edge add a scientific motif. Bold condensed caps for the headline and large bold numbers create a strong hierarchy.
How to adapt this template for your brand
- Pick your three most impressive or reassuring product numbers
- Create a cutaway or exploded view of your pack showing its ingredients
- Lay the stats out on a ruler, gauge or chart-like scale
- End the headline with a short emotional payoff
- Keep the background plain so the numbers dominate
Tips for beverages ads on Meta
Made for Meta Stories and Reels; keep stats and headline clear of the top and bottom UI zones. This concept animates well: the scale ticks can count up to each number. For feed, adapt to 4:5 by rotating the tin less and stacking the stats under the headline. Make sure all numbers match your product label to stay compliant. Pair it with a benefit-led primary text.
About this creative
This 9:16 creative sets a tilted black MUD WTR Original tin against an off-white background. The tin is cut open in a vertical slice that reveals what's inside: cacao beans, a lion's mane mushroom, cordyceps, other mushrooms, cinnamon sticks and turmeric powder stacked in layers. On the right, a bold condensed headline in black caps reads '0G SUGAR. 2,240MG MUSHROOMS. ACTUAL FUEL.' Below, three stats are aligned on a ruler-like scale with tick marks running along the right edge: '0g sugar', '35mg caffeine' and '2,240mg functional mushrooms', each with a small label underneath. The measuring-scale device makes the numbers feel exact and scientific, while the cutaway tin visually proves where those milligrams come from. The punchline 'Actual fuel' contrasts with sugary energy drinks and lattes. It's a confident, fact-first story ad that suits sceptical, label-reading audiences.
